The thumb support is a lightweight design that is built with the painful thumb in mind. It’s breathable neoprene material means it can be worn comfortably all day. Along the thumb is a removable metal bar to support and maintain the alignment of the thumb joints from the wrist to the tip of the thumb. It aims to protect the joint from overuse and any strain.
Having a rigid metal bar reduces unwanted movement without having to rest it all together or avoid things. It continues to allow typing, gripping and driving without straining the thumb.
Whether using the brace to completely rest the joint or to continue with activities- this brace offers rigidity along the thumb joints, offering protection through movement and support with rest. It limits the risk of re-injury and worsening of symptoms.
A painful condition that affects the tendons as they run through a sheath over the wrist. There can be tenderness, swelling and snapping from the tendon as it becomes inflamed. It is best managed with immobilisation in a support brace and plenty of rest.
The thinning of the cartilage on the joint surfaces, particularly at the base of the thumb. Causing pain and stiffness in the hand and thumb. It can affect grip and fine movements. Symptoms often respond well to more thumb support.
Quality thumb support, suitable for all types of thumb injuries and thumb surgery. Alleviate thumb pain, reduced grip strength and stiffness.
